AlNayzak Organization is a Palestinian non-profit, non- partisan, and unique organization that looks for young talents in science, technology, entrepreneurship, engineering, and math (STEEM), and plants an ambitious vision in the hearts of our community: “An Innovative Palestinian society, capable of producing original scientific knowledge, integrated with sustainable development”.

Position Definition

Responsible for evaluating bids, suppliers, products, and services, and negotiate contracts as per AlNayzak’s policies and internal regulations while ensuring compliance, quality, and cost efficiency.  The Procurement officer will act as the focal point for the procurement of services and supplies for AlNayzak Organization.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for ensuring effective and timely procurement services following agreed procurement timelines.
  • Full responsibility for ensuring fulfilment of the whole procurement process as per AlNayzak’s policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines as per donor requirements where required.
  • Full responsibility for ensuring the timely preparation and completeness of all appropriate purchase supporting documents for approval, including procurement files, to facilitate timely payments of procured goods and services.
  • Full responsibility for executing, following appropriate authorization, purchase, and delivery of supplies, revise of contracts for purchasing of Goods and Services
  • Full responsibility for liaising and coordinating in a timely manner with the relevant programs, departments, units, and services regarding delivery of supplies, keeping all parties informed of any changes.
  • Full responsibility for managing and update an accurate supplier information database for regularly purchased items, including local market conditions, while actively and regularly conducting a prequalification process and establishing a vendor database with supplier performance information.
  • Full responsibility for responding to audits as required.
  • Full responsibility for implementing delegated Logistics portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Full responsibility for preparing and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Full responsibility for promoting and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  • Full responsibility for ensuring proper filing of documents and securing of supporting documents.
  • Full responsibility for contributing to the development and implementation of Procurement systems.
  • Full responsibility for performing any other related tasks as relevant and requested by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • At least five years relevant work experience, preferably in a Local/ International NGO.
  • Experience within an audit sector would be considered a plus.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written.
  • Hebrew language is a plus.
  • Valid Driving License.
