About Horizons Academy

Horizons Academy is a Palestinian initiative supporting young gifted high school students by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to succeed in obtaining a scholarship and competing for admission to top worldwide universities.

 

Horizons Academy is seeking a qualified Recruitment & Portal Coordinator to join its team.

Position Definition

In the role of Recruitment & Portal Coordinator, the primary responsibilities will revolve around community engagement, talent acquisition, and the management of the Horizons Academy portal. The Recruitment & Portal Coordinator will be expected to establish and nurture connections with local schools and community centers, effectively communicating the distinctive features and opportunities offered by Horizons Academy to students and beneficiaries. The active involvement in talent acquisition will include implementing targeted strategies to recruit high-achieving students, guiding them through the academy’s admissions process.

 

Additionally, the Recruitment & Portal Coordinator will play a key role in overseeing the development of the Horizons portal, collaborating closely with the web developer to ensure alignment with the institution’s vision. Beyond this, the duties extend to strategic advertising, leading the ambassadorship program, and providing essential technical support to students and staff.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for proactively visit and establish enduring relationships with local schools and community centers throughout the country, ensuring a widespread and impactful outreach for Horizons Academy.
  • Full responsibility for identifying and recruit high-achieving students in Palestine, contributing to the development of a diverse and talented student body at Horizons Academy.
  • Full responsibility for actively participate in the Horizons Academy admissions process, providing guidance and support to prospective students and their families.
  • Full responsibility for strategically utilize internal and external systems for advertising Horizons Academy, maximizing visibility and attracting the right candidates.
  • Full responsibility for spearhead the ambassadorship program at Horizons Academy, cultivating a network of passionate advocates who contribute to the institution’s growth.
  • Full responsibility for overseeing the web developer, ensuring the timely and effective implementation of all developments outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR).
  • Full responsibility for providing technical support to students and staff, promptly addressing any issues that may arise on the Horizons Academy portal.
  • Full responsibility for generating comprehensive reports detailing the progress and impact of outreach activities with local schools and community centers.
  • Full responsibility for regularly updating the management team on the success of student recruitment efforts, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Full responsibility for documenting and analyze data related to the admissions process, offering insights and recommendations for enhancing the overall process.
  • Full responsibility for providing detailed reports on the effectiveness of advertising strategies, both internal and external, to optimize future campaigns.
  • Full responsibility for monitoring and evaluating the success of the ambassadorship program, producing reports that measure the impact on Horizons Academy’s visibility and reputation.
  • Full responsibility for collaborating with the web developer to track and report on the implementation progress of portal developments, ensuring alignment with TOR.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field, showcasing a solid foundation for effective reporting and communication.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field within a local NGO, demonstrating proficiency in generating insightful reports.

Skills and Attributes

  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear and impactful reports.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to reporting, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt reporting strategies based on changing organizational needs.
