Al-Nayzak-Questacon exhibition co-production: Science & Arab Islamic golden age

Al-Nayzak-Questacon exhibition co-production: Science & Arab Islamic golden age:

Since the establishment of the Science and Technology House; the Nucleus of the Palestinian Scientific Museum, Al-Nayzak has worked to develop scientific exhibitions and enrich them with interactive learning methods that align with the latest achievements in the scientific and technological fields. Through this approach, Al-Nayzak has been able to attract various components of the Palestinian society and allow them to apply science and technology in their daily lives.

To build on these achievements, Al-Nayzak has launched the new project “Exhibition Co-Production: Science & the Arab-Islamic Golden age” in cooperation with The Council for Australian-Arab Relations for the Department of foreign Affairs and Trade – Australian Government. This project is realized through a unique partnership between Al-Nayzak and Questacon to co-design and co-produce a scientific educational exhibition that demonstrates pedagogical and science discoveries of the Golden Age of the Arab-Muslim civilization between the 8th and 14th centuries, using innovative and interactive activities for both the Australian and Palestinian public. This multi-cultural exhibition that is transferable from one place to another is designed to be modular for sustainable use in other curated themes to reach out to various segments of the Palestinian society. In doing so, this project works to achieve the broader vision of Al-Nayzak in promoting a culture of science, technology & innovative business among Palestinians, which enables them to participate in sustainable development processes within their communities.

The project aims to:
* Encourage bilateral participation in the production and design of interactive scientific exhibitions among Palestinian and Australian society.

* Foster a culture of mutual learning and experience-sharing through raising the awareness of Australian public about the Arab-Islamic civilization and culture and its contribution to science and scientific knowledge.

* Enhance the capacities of Al-Nayzak Science and Technology House Staff as well as Questacon staff in organizing and coordinating exhibitions and museums.

* Produce and design cost-effective and innovative methods that will be transportable from one place to another and linked to technological development to combat the geographical constraints in Palestine and Australia.

“Al-Nayzak-Questacon exhibition co-production: Science & Arab Islamic golden age” is supported by the Australian Government and implemented by Al-Nayzak Organization in partnership with Questacon
